The Open Day, held at Stumps Indoor Cricket Centre saw the launch of the Bengal Tigers Cricket Club (B.T.C.C.) by Bangladesh Community Development (BCD).
Supplementary School
This project provides the opportunity for out of school hours learning. Through this project BCD provide access to study centres where students can be given support with their studies particularly with core curriculum subjects, SAT s and G.C.S.E exams.
BCD is developing a project to provide a programme of constructive recreational, educational and vocational support
for Bangladeshi and Asian young people (age 13-19) that will help address the problems of drug abuse and
anti-social behaviour. It will also provide guidance to access training and the job market.
BCD's Young Person's Project is designed to develop communication, self esteem and leadership skills through a variety of interesting and exciting recreational activities.
This project also offers opportunities to play football and cricket with tuition from professional coaches. There is access to courses and job opportunities with national organisations like the Royal Navy, Army and Police etc.
